Hey ya'll! It's February and that means we got one month before the tournament starts. My name is PoorBasterd, cause that's exactly what I am. Now I'm gonna do something crazy here folks and I hope it works. I have a bankroll of next to nothing and I'm going to post my plays hoping to make me some money by the time this month ends.
Today I'm hoping for Xavier to win SU at +230. First of I looked at this and thought, well dang, no doubt Cincinnati should win this. Then I was watching ESPN, and the bottom ticker said something about how Xavier has taken the last few meetings. I was like well, whatever, then I saw this was at +230, so I said, Hell I can double my money. Let's do it!
My second play today is good ol' Indiana. Them boys, seem to me a little underrated (especially at home). That's all I'm basing this on too. You see, I liked Indiana beating them Boilermakers back a few days back and they did. So I'm going to use the same strategy there for this game. IU beat Purdue at home; Illini lost to Purdue at home. Both teams get spanked by Wisconsin and both teams beat Ohio St and Michigan (only difference is Indiana played the last two away). Advantage IU. Gonna take the points though.
My last play of today, would be another Dog. Them damned Florida State Seminoles. Them boys can play and don't nobody should take that away from them. We all know how they do at home, beating Wake, UNC, and Maryland. But that there game against them Blue Devils up in Durham showed me how much them young men are gaining confidence. I believe they were down double digits at halftime but they kept fighting, forcing turnovers and hitting big shots. If you can keep your cool in that type of an environment, I see some potential.
